You can join your online meetings from your Webex Desk Hub. This article explains each of your options.
You must connect a Webex Desk Camera and a secondary or external display screen to your Desk Hub to get the full supported benefits of this feature. Headset users take note: Calls and meetings are disconnected when you place your Cisco Headset 730 in the charging dock. This is the default behaviour unless you disable it in Cisco Headsets mobile app. |
You have two types of Webex meetings to choose from:
-
Webex Personal Room meetings—Great for an unscheduled or spontaneous meeting. You don't book the meeting on your calendar. Instead you share the meeting URL with your coworkers because it never changes.
Your personal room is only available when you're in Personal mode. For more information, see Start a Personal Room Meeting from a Personal Mode Device
Your personal room is only available when you're in Personal mode or Hot desking.
-
Scheduled meetings—Great for recurring meetings. Book a meeting in the Webex App and it appears in your calendar. You receive a notification a few minutes before the start time. If you are in Personal mode or Hot desking then you get notifications from your personal calendar. If you're in Shared mode, then you receive notifications for the room calendar.
For more information on using the Webex App to book meetings, see Webex Meetings.
You can also join a meeting from your Desk Hub with Join Webex. For more information, see Join Webex Meetings from Your Cisco Webex Board, Room, or Desk Device.

Do one of the following actions:
|
Sometimes our workspace is a bit cluttered, or we want our background hidden when in a meeting. A virtual background gives you that privacy so people focus on your ideas and words instead of what's behind you.
Sometimes the background blur may not cover the background entirely and possible sensitive information may be visible to others. Virtual Backgrounds is currently an experimental feature.
This feature is available in Personal mode. It isn't available in Shared mode or in Hot desking. |
