The latest release of Cisco WebEx Site Administration features new options for improved security and a redesigned user interface.

Site Administration User InterfaceThe Site Administration user interface has been redesigned to simplify and better organize menu items. The function of the menu items remains the same.
Personal Room ID Options

WebEx site administrators can now specify that Personal Room IDs for new users can be generated using:

  • Email address prefix
  • Users first initial and last name
  • "pr" plus the Personal Room meeting number
Personal Room URLWebEx site administrators can now change a user's Personal Room URL. Users will get email notification when a change is made.
Recording Security

New options allow site administrators to:

  • Restrict the viewing of recordings to signed-in users
  • Prevent the downloading of recordings
Personal Meeting Room Security

When Personal Rooms are enabled, site administrators can now:

  • Require users to have an account on the WebEx site to join a Personal Room meeting
  • Allow users to change their Personal Room ID
  • Allow attendees to notify  the host that they are waiting in the lobby
Secure Access to Meetings

If your organization has asked that the Secure Access to Meetings option be enabled, site administrators will have access to additional password enforcement policy options that are set separately for Meeting Center, Training Center and Event Center. Including:

  • Requiring a password when joining a meeting by phone
  • Requiring a password when joining a meeting from a video conferencing system

These new security options are available only to WebEx Audio customers (per-minute audio or CCA). They do not apply to TSP partner audio or "other" teleconferencing.
