Start a Scheduled WebEx Meeting from Outlook

As the host you can start your meetings from your WebEx site, the email invitation you receive when you schedule a meeting, or from Microsoft Outlook.

To start your meeting from Microsoft Outlook choose one of the following methods:
  • In your Microsoft Outlook calendar, open the meeting item and select Join WebEx Meeting to start the meeting.
    Note      

    The link that appears in your meeting item is for the meeting host only. If you are the host, and you need the host key and host access code, select the provided link at the bottom of the email invitation.

  • Complete the following:
    1. Log in to the WebEx site.

       

    2. On the WebEx Meetings page select My Meetings.

       

    3. Select the meeting you want to start.

       

    4. Select Start.

       

 

Your meeting starts and the Meeting Manager window opens.

Start a Personal Conference Meeting from Outlook

As the host you can start your meetings from the email invitation or from Microsoft Outlook as described below.

     
1    In your Microsoft Outlook calendar, open the meeting item and dial the number provided to start the meeting.
2    Follow the voice prompts and enter your host access code and, if prompted, your PIN.

Start an Instant or Personal Room Meeting

To start an instant or Personal Room meeting, in Microsoft Outlook, select Meet Now from the Cisco WebEx Menu or select the WebEx icon on the Mac menu bar, and select Meet Now.

By default, instant meetings are held in your Personal Room. If you don’t want to use your Personal Room for instant meetings, turn off the Use Personal Room for all my instant meetings option in the “Meet Now” Settings section of your Preferences.
