Introduction

When hosts schedule Meeting Center meetings, they send an email invitation to invited attendees with information on how to join and, if necessary, register for the meeting.


If you receive either an invitation or registration confirmation email, you can join the meeting from the email message. If you do not have an invitation or registration confirmation email, you can join the meeting from the Meeting Center site. If a password is required to join the meeting, it is included in the invitation or registration confirmation. If the meeting requires a higher security level, the host may provide the password to you by means other than email messages.

Join from an Email

If you received an invitation or registration confirmation email, you can join the meeting from that email.

To join a meeting from an email:

  1. Open the invitation or registration confirmation email, then click Join WebEx Meeting. The meeting information page appears.
  2. Click Join. You are connected to the meeting.

Note: If the meeting has not started, and attendees are not allowed to join before the host, the Join button is inactive until the meeting starts.

Join from a Meeting Center Site

There are two ways you can join a meeting from a Meeting Center site.

  • When signed in to your WebEx account
  • Without a WebEx account

To begin, open a web browser and navigate to the Meeting Center site. The URL will be in the form http://[OrganizationName].webex.com. If you do not know the URL for the Meeting Center site, contact the meeting host.

 

When signed in to your WebEx account:

1. In the left navigation bar, click Attend a Meeting> Browse Meetings to view the meetings listed on the site.

2. Click Join for the meeting you want to attend. The Meeting Information page appears.

Note: To join an unlisted meeting, in the left navigation bar, click Unlisted Meeting. Enter the meeting number, then click Join. If the meeting is being held in the host’s personal meeting room, type the host’s username. You can find the user name in the meeting URL. For example, organizationname.webex.com/meet/jparker.

3. Enter the meeting password.

Note: Check your invitation or registration confirmation email for the password. Contact your host if you cannot find it.

4. Click Join. You are connected to the meeting.

Note: If the meeting has not started, and attendees are not allowed to join before the host, the Join button is inactive until the meeting starts.

 

Without a WebEx account:

1. Navigate to the WebEx site, type the meeting number, then click Join.

Note: If the meeting is being held in the host’s personal meeting room, type the host’s username. You can find the user name in the meeting URL. For example, organizationname.webex.com/meet/jparker.

2. When the meeting information page appears, enter the meeting password.

3. Click Join. You are connected to the meeting.
