Customer Context Gadget: Move Activity

You can move an activity from one customer to another when the Customer Context gadget:

  • Locates a customer based on the information in the incoming activity, but it is not the correct customer record. For example, a customer calls from a different phone and that number is associated with a different customer.

  • Cannot locate a customer record based on the details in the incoming activity. In this case, the gadget displays Unknown Customer record for the incoming activity. For example, if a customer calls from a phone number that is not registered in the customer record.


Note


You can only move the current activity in an Open customer record.


 

Move Activity to an Open Customer Record

  1. Click Move in the activity details.

  2. Click the Open customers list and select the customer you want to move the activity to.

  3. Click Confirm Move in the notification bar to complete the move.

The activity is moved to the selected customer. The selected customer record opens with the moved activity.

 

Move Activity to a Recent Customer Record

  1. Click Move in the activity details.

  2. Click the Recent customers list and select the customer you want to move the activity to.

  3. Click Confirm Move in the notification bar to complete the move.

The activity is moved to the selected customer. The selected customer record opens with the moved activity.

 

Move Activity by Searching for a Customer Record

  1. Click Move in the activity details.

  2. Click the Search customers option and type the name of the customer you want to move this activity to. Search displays all customer records that match the search string.

  3. Select the customer you want to move this activity to, and click Confirm Move in the notification bar to complete the move.

The activity is moved to the selected customer. The selected customer record opens with the moved activity.
