The WebEx web app is a limited-availability release by request only. To have the web app enabled on your site, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to submit a request ticket. This version is available for attendees only. Hosts do not have access to this option, and must use the WebEx Meeting Center desktop app.
With the WebEx web app, you can join WebEx meetings fast, without installing anything (no plug-ins) on your computer.
Join a Meeting
Select the Join WebEx Meeting link or your host's Personal Room link in your meeting invitation to join the meeting.
On the Meeting Information page or your host's Personal Room page, select Join by browser.
Connect to Audio and Start Your Video
You can connect both audio and video easily when joining a meeting. Go to and choose the way you'd like to connect:
If you'd like others to see you, from the No Video drop-down list, select Video Connection to start your webcam.
To connect to the audio, select whether to use your phone or your computer (with a headset).
The WebEx web app user interface is simple with video in the center and meeting options underneath.
If you don't want people to hear you, select to mute yourself.
Change your mind and don't want to be on video? Select to stop your video for the meeting.

To see who else joined the meeting, select to show the Participants panel.
Chat with Other People in the Meeting
Select to chat with everyone in the meeting.
To chat privately with someone, hover over the person's name in the Participants panel and select next to that person's name.
Switch to the Desktop Application
Sharing content and annotating are not supported in the Cisco WebEx web app. To use these features, select to switch to the desktop application.
