Enable Personal Room

After you enable the Personal Room feature for your site, you can specify the method for creating Personal Room IDs for new users.

        
1    On the left navigation bar, select Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options.
2    In the Site Options section, select the Enable Personal Room (When enabled, you can turn this on or off for individual users) check box.
3    Configure the following optional settings:
  • Allow host to start Personal Room meetings from phone (WBS31 only)

     

  • Require attendees to have an account on this website in order to join this meeting

     

  • Allow user to change Personal Room URL

     

  • Allow attendees to notify host that they are waiting in Personal Room lobby

     

4    For the Generate Personal Room ID for new users using: setting, choose one of the following options:
  • Email address prefix

     

  • First initial, last name

     

  • "pr" plus Personal Room meeting number

     

5    Select Update.

Enable a Personal Room for a User

This procedure is for Meeting Center only.


Note


A Personal Room can also be enabled for a user when creating an account.


         
1    On the navigation bar, select Users > Edit User .
2    Search for the user or use the Index to locate the user.
3    To edit user account details, select the account name.
4    Under Privileges , check the Personal Room check box.
5    (Optional) If you suspect unusual activity in the account, select Suspend so that the Personal Room cannot be accessed until Host PIN has been reset by the user.
6    Select Update to save your changes.

Change the URL for a User's Personal Room

You can change the URL for an existing user's Personal Room.

        
1    In the left navigation bar, select Users > Edit User.
2    Search for the user or use the Index to locate the user name.
3    From the results, select the user name.
4    On the Edit User page, in the Personal Room URL: https://WebServer.webex.com/meet/ field, enter the change for the URL.
5    Select Update.
