Support for Cisco Jabber Features

Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Edition for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu (VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu) supports most Cisco Jabber for Windows features, with some exceptions. For a list of exceptions for your release of Cisco VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu, see the corresponding topic for your release.


Tip


The Cisco VXME for SUSE Linux version must match the version of Cisco Jabber. If you don't know which Cisco VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu version you have, check with your system administrator. You can use the following steps to check your Cisco Jabber version.


     
1    Sign in to Cisco Jabber.
2    Select Menu > Help > About Cisco Jabber.

Release 11.7

 

Cisco VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu Release 11.7 supports Cisco Jabber for Windows Release 11.7.

  

Cisco VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu supports all Cisco Jabber features, except the following:

    
  • Binary Floor Control Protocol (BFCP) Desktop Share

     

  • Call Pickup

     

  • Call Stats

     

  • Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST)

     

  • Collaboration Edge

     

  • Device Selection menu on the Call Conversation window

     

  • Far End Camera Control (FECC)

     

  • Federal Information Processing Standard, Publication 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) and Information Assurance (IA) Compliance

     

  • Hunt Group

     

  • Jabber to Jabber Call

     

  • Jabber desk phone video (display of video on the desktop when the thin client is connected to the user's desk phone)

     

  • Kerberos and Common Access Card (CAC) with Single Sign On (SSO)

     

  • PreferP2PDesktopShare (configuration parameter to prioritize person to person screen sharing over video sharing in the Jabber configuration file)

     

  • Accessory Call Control (adjust call volume, answer or end phone calls, and mute audio) for the following accessories

     

    • Logitech

       

    • Plantronics

       

    • Sennheiser

       

  

Release 11.8

 

Cisco VXME for HP Thin Pro and Ubuntu Release 11.8 supports Cisco Jabber for Windows Release 11.8.
