Auto Answer for video with Webex App for mobile

Webex App can now automatically answer incoming calls with voice and video enabled, so users don’t need to tap to accept. This makes it easier for callers to start video calls with users who can’t operate the app themselves. This feature is for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM).

Add the AutoAnswerForMobile Configuration Parameter

For a Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) user to use this feature:

  • The feature is supported on the primary line appearance only.

  • The Webex App must be the primary line appearance.

  • The AutoAnswerForMobile parameter must be added.

Please contact your administrator to setup this feature.

Turn on auto answer in Webex App

In Webex App, tap Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon.

Tap Calling > Auto Answer.

Toggle Auto Answer to On.

Guided Access for iPad and iPhone

Guided Access limits your iPhone or iPad to work with only one app. You need to turn on Guided Access before you can start a Guided Access session with Webex app on iPhone or iPad.

Tap Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access, and tap On.

Tap Passcode Settings and then tap Set Guided Access Passcode.

Enter a passcode, and confirm.

Display over other apps access for Android

Display the app over other apps with this feature on your Android phone.

Tap Settings.

Scroll to Apps and then tap Special App Access > Display over other apps.

Select Webex App and tap On.
