Video-centric recordings show the participants in high-resolution, full-screen video when no content is shared. The recording player controls are simplified and when you play a recording, you can get more information by opening the Chat, Participants, and Polling panels if they were used during the meeting or event. Hosts can trim the beginning and end of their recordings and save the playback range.
This feature is available for meetings and events that are recorded in the cloud in MP4 format. To find out which version you’re using, see Find your Webex Meetings version number. This feature isn't available for meetings and events that are recorded locally on the host's computer.
The feature isn't available for data centers in China or Video Platform version 1.0 sites. FedRAMP-authorized Webex sites must upgrade to Webex for Government to get the feature with Video Platform version 2.0. For browser requirements, see Browser support for video-centric network-based MP4 recordings.
You can select the screen layout that you like best. Different layouts are available depending on whether you're sharing or not sharing content. For more information, see Select the screen layout for recordings in Webex Meetings and Webex Events.
Video-centric MP4 recordings include content that's shared from a screen, an application, a file that's not a video file, a whiteboard, a Webex Board, an iPhone, and an iPad. For Meetings and Events (new) (not Events (classic)), it also includes video content that's optimized for motion and video (30 fps). The recordings don't include audio maps or content thumbnails.
If you share a video file using Share File during the meeting or event, the MP4 recording will not be saved in video-centric format.
If you want to hide the recording transcript, select the arrow to the left of the transcriptions panel. Hosts can exclude the transcript from a recording if they don't want others to see it when they play the recording.
To view the panels that were used during the meeting, select Participants, Chat, or Polling on the left of the recording.
Hosts can remove unneeded portions from the beginning and end of their recordings. For more information, see Trim the beginning and end of your meeting recording in Webex Meetings and Webex Events.
