Webex App | Azure Devops bot
Azure DevOps Services is a suite of cloud-based services from Microsoft that helps teams plan, build, test, and deploy software. It supports a collaborative and integrated development environment, covering the entire software development lifecycle. When connected to Webex App, users can easily stay on top of the latest changes happening in their team’s repositories.

Add the Azure DevOps Services bot to a Webex space
To add the Azure DevOps Services bot to a Webex space:
- Go to Messaging and choose a space to which you’d like to add the Azure
DevOps Services bot.
NOTE: You can also create a new space with just the Azure DevOps Services bot.
- Choose People, select Add People, and then enter the Azure DevOps
Services bot email address: AzureDevOpsServices02@webex.bot
.
- The bot responds with a welcome message in the space. If you’re in a direct
space with the bot, send a
hi
message. - You can now manage Azure DevOps Services workflows.
To see a listing of available commands, type help
in a direct space
or @azure help
in a group space.
You can create new notifications or manage existing notifications for events in Azure DevOps Services, which will trigger Webex app notifications.
To manage Azure DevOps Services bot notifications:
- In the space containing the Azure DevOps Services bot, enter
manage
.You can also send a direct message,
@azure manage
, to manage notifications in group spaces. - Select the link provided to go to the Azure DevOps Services notifications dashboard.
- From the dashboard you can:
- Edit existing: Edit notifications configured for any space where the Azure DevOps Services bot is a member.
- Add new: Select Add new notification, then choose the notification type.
- When you add a notification for the first time, after selecting Add New
Notification, select Next.
Your account is linked and the Add screen is displayed.
- The List of Events to which the Azure DevOps Services Bot can respond and notify
users are:
- Build Completed
- Code Checked In
- Commit Pushed
- New Pull Request Created
- New Release Created
- New Work Item Created
- Pull Request Merge Attempted
- Pull Request Updated
- Release Abandoned
- Release Deployment Approval Completed
- Release Deployment Approval Pending
- Release Deployment Completed
- Release Deployment Started
- Work Item Comment Added
- Work Item Deleted
- Work Item Restored
- Work Item Updated
