For Webex Meetings Platform Suite customers

Slido access controls are changing to align with controls for classic Polls and Q&A in the previous versions of Webex. Slido access will now be specified as part of meeting settings, so you can leverage the full power of meeting templates. Furthermore, access controls for external meetings are also supported.

If you have enabled Slido for all users in your organization

Keep Slido enabled for all users in your organization under the Apps > General > Slido App section.

To manage access for Slido, go to the Meeting menu > Settings > Collaboration tools section. Slido internal and external toggles for your organization are enabled by default. To preserve your original settings, you can edit your settings for the whole organization, user groups (meeting templates) or on the user level. Do the same for any existing meeting templates.

Internal and external toggles are also enabled by default for existing meeting templates.

If you have disabled Slido for all users in your organization

Enable Slido for all users in your organization under the Apps > General > Slido App section.

To manage access for Slido go to the Meeting menu > Settings > Collaboration tools section. Slido internal is enabled by default, and Slido external toggle is enabled by default.

You can disable the internal Slido toggle for your organization while keeping the external toggle enabled.

For any other modifications related to management of access, please visit the Meeting menu > Settings and apply changes related to the whole organization, user groups (meeting templates) or the user level.

If you have enabled Slido for certain user groups in your organization

Slido Internal and external toggles for your organization are enabled by default. You can edit your settings for the whole organization, user groups (meeting templates) or on the user level.

Internal and external toggles are also enabled by default for existing meeting templates.

To migrate Slido access controls to the new, more flexible configuration:

  • Decide whether you want to continue with "deny by default, allow specified", or "allow by default, deny specified" as your preferred option.
  • Go to Meeting menu > Templates and select or create specific templates for the applicable user group(s). Make changes to Slido access in the templates if preferred.
  • Once done, navigate to the Meeting menu > Settings > Collaboration tools, and set Slido access values to the desired defaults.

As a last step, navigate back to the Apps > General > Slido App > section, and change the Slido setting from Limited (Select groups) to Allowed (All users). Going forward, please manage Slido access under the Meeting menu > Settings > Collaboration tools.

For non-Webex meetings Platform Suite Customers

Continue managing Slido under the Apps > General > Slido App section. When you move to the Webex meetings platform suite, please visit the above sections in this help article to manage Slido access further, based on your desired access configuration.

Please note that for Slido to work, the Embedded Apps toggle under the Apps menu > General > Embedded Apps section, has to be enabled.
