Overview
You can review performance for a specific video to understand how audiences engage with that Vidcast. Video-level analytics shows views over time, viewer retention, comments, and summary engagement metrics for one video at a time.
Vidcast video analytics
Before you begin

You must be the video owner or an assigned editor to access video analytics.

In Vidcast, open the main menu and select Analytics. |

Select the Video tab. |

Search for the title of your Vidcast and select the video you want to review. |
Understanding video metrics
At the top of the video analytics page, you will find video preview, total views and video view breakdown with following metrics:
| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| Total video views | How many times this video was viewed. |
| Avg. completion | Average % of the video watched across all views (all modes combined). |
| Full video views | Views where the viewer watched the full video (not only highlights or a clip). |
| Full video % of total views | Share of all views that were full-video views. |
| Full video avg. completion rate | Average completion % for full-video views only. |
| Highlight views | Views that used the Highlights player/mode. |
| Highlight % of total views | Share of total views that were highlight views. |
| Highlight avg. completion rate | Average completion % within highlight views. |
| Clip views | Views of clips shared from this video. |
| Avg. % of videos completed | On average, what percentage of each video viewers complete across views. |
| Clip % of total views | Share of total views that were clip views. |
| Clip avg. completion rate | Average completion % for clip views. |
The video analytics page also includes interactive charts for views and visits, full video drop-off rate chart (with per chapter breakdown) and highlight drop-off rate chart.
General video statistics provide further analytics into video engagement:

Total watch time — Combined watch time across all views.

Logged in viewers — Distinct signed-in viewers.

Logged in views — View sessions from signed-in users.

Total anonymous views — Views without login (e.g. Open link).

Reactions — Total emoji reactions on the video.

Clips created — Clips viewers created from this video.

AMA queries — Ask Me Anything / AI assistant questions on this video.

Comments — Total comments.

Favorites — Times the video was favorited.
