Customer Context Gadget: Search Customer Record

You can search a customer record by using the information in the customer record fields. For example, search using first or last name, phone number, or address.

Search Features

Customer Context gadget supports:

  • Exact string match

  • Multiple strings

  • Strings wrapped in double quotes

  • Case insensitive searches

Search looks for the specified string in all searchable fields. For example, if you search for the string John, search returns all occurrences of the string in the name, address, and other searchable fields.

Partial searches and unmatched searches do not show any results. For example:

  • A search for pete does not show result for Peter Paul.

  • A search for bill m does not show results for Bill Peters.


This example shows how to search a customer record using the string, bill.

  1. Click the customer Search and enter bill in the search box.


    Click the toggle icon to access the Recent customers list.

  2. Press Enter. Search returns a list of call customer records with the word bill in any searchable field.

    The search results include fields that contain the search term, bill:

    • The customer's first name - Bill Peters.

    • The customer's last name - Randy Bill.

    • City in the customer's address - Bill, WY.

    • Part of email associated with the customer -

  3. Click a customer name to open the Customer Record Preview and:


Context Service executes an exact string match. For example, a search for bill m does not show any results.
