Set the Retention Policy for Cisco Spark

After a set amount of time or the maximum amount of space is reached (5 GB per user), content gets purged and you can't access it. This is important because when you keep information around a long time, you increase the chances of confidential information being accessible.

Before You Begin



    We recommend that you work with your legal counsel to determine the most appropriate retention period for your organization.



    At this time, whiteboard content is persistent and doesn't get purged when the retention period is reached.



1    From the customer view in, go to Settings, and scroll to Retention.
2    Choose how long you want to keep Cisco Spark messages and shared files.
