Every person in your organization needs a user account before they can sign in and access Cisco Spark services. All of these methods send an email invitation to your users or to customers' users. After new invites accept, they can start using the services that you assigned right away.
Choose the method that best suits your organization:
User Management Method
The easiest approach is to add individual users by email or update services for users one-by-one.
If you or a customer are using Cisco Spark as a pilot project, we recommend that you add a few users with this method so they can try out and get familiar with the services.
CSV upload is the best way to add many users (up to 1100) at the same time. You download a spreadsheet template as a CSV (comma-separated file), enter the email addresses of all the users you want to add, assign service licenses to those users, and then upload the file to your organization.
If your customer's company is using Active Directory, you can direct the customer to add users and synchronize them from Active Directory with Cisco Directory Connector. The Directory Connector is an essential tool for synchronizing Active Directory with the backend Cisco cloud directory. After adding users through this method, use any of the following options to assign services to users:
If you are a partner administrator with full privileges, you can assign roles with different privileges to any user in your organization.
As a partner full administrator, you can convert the unlicensed users in your partner organization or on behalf of customer administrators. Licensed users can use features that are part of an organization's subscription. You can also check and update the license assignments during the conversion review.
