Share Your Screen

Share your screen so meeting participants can know exactly what you're looking at, such as a presentation, documents, or a video.

While in your meeting, tap More More options, and then tap Share Content Share content.


 

Screen sharing is only available for Android Lollipop (5.0) OS and later.

Choose how you want to optimize your shared content:

  • Tap Optimize for images to share things like documents, presentations, websites, or applications with few transitions.
  • Tap Optimize for video to share your screen at 30 frames per second to create smooth movement for things like video, slides with animations, and websites or applications with frequent transitions.
  • If you optimize for video, you can also tap Include audio so that the audio of your content is shared in the meeting.

     

    To include audio, your Android version must be 10.0 or later and the app that you're sharing must allow apps to record audio.

Tap the arrow next to Share Screen to start sharing.

To stop sharing, tap Webex > Stop Sharing.


 

You can also return to the meeting window instead and tap Stop Sharing.

Limit Who Can Share Content

If you're the meeting host, you can allow any participant to share content at any time, or limit sharing to presenters.

Tap More More options, and then tap Meeting privilege.

Tap Anyone can share.

When the switch icon is blue, any participant can share content. When the switch icon is gray, only presenters can share content.

Annotate Your Shared Screen

You can annotate a shared screen to highlight, explain, or point out information to your meeting's participants.

Annotating content is not supported on the Webex Meetings web app.

Share your screen, tap Webex > Annotation.


 

If you want other meeting participants to annotate your screen with you, while annotating, tap More > Let Anyone Annotate.

To stop annotating, tap Back, and then choose whether to save your current annotation.

Share a Whiteboard

You can open a whiteboard during your meeting, to brainstorm and communicate ideas with your meeting's participants.

While in your meeting, tap More More options, and then tap Share Content . Then, tap Whiteboard.

To stop sharing, tap Back, and then choose whether to save your whiteboard to your device's gallery.

Share and Annotate Other Content

You can share additional content from different sources, such as a Box account.

While in your meeting, tap More, and then tap Share Content.

Choose to share from:

  • Box files

  • Google Drive files

  • OneDrive files


 

Your site administrator must enable sharing from these sources in order to use this feature.

You can rotate the content you share by tapping Rotate Rotate.

Tap Annotate.

To stop annotating, tap End, and then choose whether to save your annotate content to your device's gallery.

Annotation Tools

When you annotate a shared screen or whiteboard, the following annotation tools are available:

Tool

Description

Undo the last annotation.

Draw annotations in different brush thicknesses and colors.

Insert text in different colors. When finished typing, tap Done to place the text.

Erase any annotations.

Draw attention to part of the screen by placing an arrow on it.

Draw attention to part of the screen by drawing borders around it.

Tap More > Save to save the annotation to your device's gallery.


You can also Mute yourself while annotating content.
