Before you begin

This feature requires Cisco Webex video platform version 2.0. To find out which version you’re using, see Find Your Cisco Webex Meetings Version Number.

1

Go to Share content Share content and select Optimize for text and images or Optimize for motion and video.

Optimize for text and images drop-down list

If you're sharing your screen or an application to play a video or an animation, select Optimize for motion and video. Video playback is smoother because of the higher frame rate. If you don't optimize for motion and video, your content is optimized for text and images, just like it was when you shared content in earlier releases of Webex Meetings.

2

If you selected Optimize for motion and video, check the Share your computer audio check box if you want to let everyone hear what you’re sharing through the Webex Audio conference, whether they join from a phone, VoIP, or a video system. We recommend this option if you're sharing a video or animation that has sound.

Share your computer audio check box

Stereo audio will be output as mono.

Mac users: The first time that you choose to share your computer audio, you’ll see a message asking if you want to install audio drivers.

Install Audio Drivers message

Select Install and follow the on-screen instructions, or select Cancel.

3

Select the content that you want to share.

If you're already sharing and haven't chosen the optimization setting, select Share at the top of the screen, and then select Share Content.

Share Content

When you share content from a Cisco Webex video device that's connected using an HDMI cable, the device automatically detects and adapts to content with high levels of motion.
