Integration to IBM Lotus Notes Introduction Using the Webex Meetings Desktop App

You can quickly start, add, or join Webex meetings from Lotus Notes, without the need to use your Webex site.

The Cisco Webex Meetings integration to IBM Lotus Notes is part of the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app. Your site administrator may have installed the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app for you. If not, you can download the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app from your Webex site.

Once the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app is installed, options for starting and adding Webex meetings appear in IBM Lotus Notes.

Before you use the integration to IBM Lotus Notes, ensure that:

  • You have a user account on your Webex site.

  • The integration to IBM Lotus Notes option for the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app is supported on your Webex site.

  

IBM Lotus Notes is not currently supported in the Mac version of the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app.

Webex Integration to IBM Lotus Notes Options

The integration to IBM Lotus Notes provides the following options from within the app:

  • Meet Now–Start an instant meeting at any time, without having to schedule the meeting in advance. You can specify options for instant meetings on the “Meet Now” Settings tab of the Webex Settings dialog box.

  • Preferences–Check your Webex user account information, such as your Webex site, username, and password. You can specify more options in the Webex Settings dialog box, for instant meetings and more.

  • Meeting Templates–View templates that you or your site administrator saves on your Webex site. The templates contain meeting settings, you can choose from to meet your needs. Meeting templates are available only if site administration settings allow hosts to use templates for IBM Lotus Notes.

  • Set Scheduling Permission–Open the My Webex Profile page to assign a delegate to schedule or edit meetings on your behalf.

  • Go to Webex Site–Open your Webex site.

  • Help–Look up instructions for using the integration to IBM Lotus Notes.

  • About–View the version number, license, and patent information about the integration to IBM Lotus Notes.
