You can securely connect your Webex account to use Webex AI Agent right inside Microsoft 365. You’ll be able to access your Webex meeting data, including AI-generated meeting transcripts, summaries, and action items, without ever leaving Microsoft 365 Copilot.

You'll need to add this feature from Microsoft Marketplace first, then your Microsoft 365 administrator can enable it for you.

When you first sign-in, you will be asked to grant consent for the AI agent to access your Webex account, calling resources, and meeting preferences. This authorization ensures the AI agent can securely retrieve only the data you're permitted to see.

When Webex AI Agent is enabled, it can be accessed directly from within Copilot.

1

Open the Copilot panel in Microsoft Teams, Word, or PowerPoint.

You can access Webex AI Agent in two ways:

  • Click Switch Copilot Menu icon in the header bar, then select Webex AI Agent from the list.

  • Or, click Open Upload image icon in the Copilot chat interface, then select Webex AI Agent.

2

Go to the Webex AI Agent chat interface. Select from the suggested prompt options, or ask Webex AI Agent questions to search for your Webex meeting content, such as meeting recording summaries, transcripts, and action items, based on topics, participants, or specific time frames.

Data Privacy & Access:

  • Webex AI Agent respects your existing Access Control List permissions (ACLs). You will only ever see meeting or calling information that you are authorized to access (e.g., as a host, invited participant, or shared recipient).

  • Webex does not store or retain the data returned to you via the AI agent. Your data is used only in the moment to generate the specific response, keeping your information private.

  • Webex AI Agent can only use meeting content that you have access to, as a knowledge source.

You can use the log out prompt to disconnect your Webex account, and Webex AI Agent, from Microsoft 365. When your authorization expires, you must sign-in to your Webex account again to continue using the service.
