When a call or meeting begins, the microphone optimizes audio for speech by default. To optimize for music, turn on music mode.

This article applies to calls and meetings in a space. To enable or disable music mode in a Webex scheduled meeting or a Webex Personal Room meeting, see Enable Music Mode in Webex Meetings and Events.

You can enable or disable music mode during your current call or meeting or in your audio settings.

When you enable music mode, it's turned on for the current and all future calls and meetings. When you disable music mode, it's turned off in the current and all future calls and meetings.

During a call or meeting, click the drop-down in the Mute Mute button, and then select Turn on music mode.

If Remove background noise is turned on, it turns off when you turn on music mode.

When you see a musical note in the Mute Mute button, music mode is turned on and you're ready to rock.

To turn off music mode, click the drop-down in the Mute Mute button, and then select Turn off music mode.

In your audio settings, check the Music mode check box in your audio settings to turn on music mode.
