Before you begin

You can use the Partner Administration Console to schedule a batch upgrade of the Desktop app for partner-managed Webex sites.

1

Sign in to Site Administration.

2

Select Upgrade Now in the banner at the top of your screen.

The banner displays an available upgrade after you deploy the release to the primary and GSB clusters. The banner update occurs approximately 7 days after you apply the new lockdown release to the primary cluster.
3

If you don't see a banner, go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Site Upgrade.

4

Click the application download links for each service for the version you're upgrading to.

5

In the Available Upgrades drop-down list, select the site version to upgrade to.

If you move from a lockdown version to an unlocked version, your site automatically upgrades to the latest available Cisco Webex desktop applications. Your site receives new features, enhancements, and fixes as we release them.

6

If you want to update your site immediately, select ASAP. If you want to schedule the update for a later time, select Future Time, and then a date and time up to one month in advance.

7

Select Upgrade.

After you upgrade your site, you can't change it back to a previous version.

8

The Upgrade Confirmation dialogue will confirm the version number and ask if you want to continue. Select OK.

The upgrade may take up to 30 minutes to complete.

9

Verify if the upgrade was successful by checking the version number at Site Information > Client version.

After you upgrade to the latest version, the notification and dropdown disappears. Should the upgrade fail, your Webex site should still function. Test a meeting after the upgrade happens. You can see the status of upgrades, when upgrades started and ended, and who performed the upgrade in Site Upgrade History.
