You can change the background before or during a call or a meeting.

Virtual backgrounds are not supported on DX 70 or DX 80 devices.

Background options:

  • Background blur

  • Computer screen share as background (if your computer is connected to your Desk device)

  • Standard background images

  • Custom background image, if custom images have been uploaded by your administrator. If your Desk device is registered on personal mode, you can upload your own custom backgrounds. Read how to do it here.

  • The background blur may not cover the background entirely and possible sensitive information may be visible to others in the video meeting.

  1. Tap the Selfview icon.

  2. Tap the self-view image to open background options. Select blurred or image background.

  3. Tap the screen outside the controls when you are done. To close self-view, tap the Selfview icon again.

You can change your virtual background whether you're in a call or not:

  1. To select a new background at any time, swipe from the right side of the screen. In the right panel that opens, tap Camera Settings.

    Then tap Change background.

  2. A drop-down opens with the available backgrounds. Tap an option:

    • blurred background

    • no virtual background at all

    • your own computer screen, when your computer is connected to the Webex device. You'll appear in front of whatever is on your computer screen.

    • choose a predefined image

  3. Tap Change background again, and then tap anywhere else on the screen to close the right side panel.

To select a new background during a call:

  1. Tap the screen to get the control buttons across the bottom. Tap Selfview. Your self view will open up on top of the call.

  2. Tap Change background. Choose your background, as above.
