If your network infrastructure provides Power over Ethernet (PoE), you don’t need a PoE injector. You can connect the Touch 10 directly to a wall socket (Ethernet switch) with a PoE rated Ethernet cable. For safety, the PoE source must be in the same building as Touch 10. The PoE rated Ethernet cable can be up to 100 m (330 ft.).
For a room device or a board to show up in the list of available devices on the Touch 10:
The room device or board and Touch 10 must be on the same subnet.
The room device or board must have been restarted within the last 10 minutes. If the device doesn’t appear in the list, try restarting it.
You can only connect a Touch 10 to a Webex Board over the network.
From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to the Devices page, and select your device in the list. Scroll down the device details pane, and click Open the web interface of the device.
On the local web interface, go to Add new user to create a new user for connecting the Touch 10. You need to have the admin user role to do this.. Click
Connect the Touch 10 and the room device or Webex Board to network wall sockets or to a network switch as described in the Touch 10 installation guide.
Follow the on-screen instructions on the Touch 10 screen. When the "Select a room device" screen appears, a list of available devices shows up. Tap the device you want to connect to.
If the device doesn’t appear in the list, enter its IP address in the input field. Tap Enter.
If your Touch 10 needs a software upgrade, new software is downloaded from the room device or board and installed on the Touch 10 automatically. Touch 10 restarts after the upgrade.
Log in with username and passphrase you created to start connecting.
If your device is not registered, use the default username is admin with no passphrase. Tap Login and continue with the first-time setup.
If you created a temporary user to connect the Touch 10, go back to the local web interface and delete the user.
