Configure Your Webex Site for the Webex Meetings Integration with Microsoft Power Automate

Before you begin

Webex administrators must enable third-party applications to integrate with Webex Meetings using REST APIs before Microsoft Power Automate account users can use Webex Meetings in Microsoft Power Automate.

Do one of the following:

  • If you manage your Webex site in Cisco Webex Control Hub, from the customer view in https:/​/​admin.webex.com, go to Services. Under Meeting, select Sites, choose your site, and then select Configure Site. Under Common Settings, select Site Options.
  • If you manage your Webex site in Cisco Webex Administration, sign in to Webex Site Administration and then go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options.

Under Third-Party Integration, check Enable 3rd party apps and developers to integrate with Webex Meetings using REST APIs.

Select Update.

Create a Workflow to Update a Meeting

Before you can use the Cisco Webex Meetings connector, you must have a Webex Meetings host account. If you don't have an account, you can go to https://www.webex.com to sign up for an account for you or your company. Also, your Webex administrator must have configured third-party applications to integrate with Webex Meetings.

For this task, we use Microsoft Outlook 365 as an example, locate the similar terms used for your product for the selections. When you've completed the flow, you will be able to modify and cancel meetings from your calendar app.

In Microsoft Power Automate, go to Create then select Automated flow to create a workflow for yourself.

Search for when a new event is created and select the trigger for your service then select Create.


 

Even if you've created a flow to schedule a meeting before, you still have to do it here. An event must exist in the flow before it can be modified.

Select the calendar that you want to use then select + New Step.

Search for Cisco and select Schedule a meeting from the Actions list.

Select the dynamic content for the required meeting information.

  • Meeting topicSubject

  • Start timeStart time

  • End timeEnd time

Then select + New Step.

Search for when an event is modified and select the trigger for your product from the Triggers list.

Select the calendar that you want to use and select + New Step.

Search for control and select Apply to each from the Actions list.

Select Categories from the list of Dynamic content and select Add an action.

Search for Cisco and select Update Meeting from the Actions list.

Select the dynamic content for the required meeting information.

Then select Save.
