Video Signage on Webex Share

Webex Share now supports the use of video for Digital Signage. Just like with static images, video allows you to show custom content on your screen in between meetings or when Webex Share is idle. You can display advertising content and promote your brand, but also show visitor and internal employee announcements or information. Restart Your Webex Share

You can restart your Webex Share from Cisco Control Hub if you have a technical issue. For more information, see Restart Your Cisco Webex Share.

Standby Mode

You can configure Webex Share to turn off your HDMI display when not in use. This helps to prolong the life of your display and to save energy. You use Standby Control with the Standby Delay and the Wakeup settings to fine tune this feature. For more information, see Change Your Settings in Cisco Webex Share.

Expired Firmware

You can now track devices that have expired firmware. From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com/ go to Devices. In the search field, choose Issues from the drop-down list and select Software is out of date from the list of search terms.

Wi-Fi Security

Webex Share supports the following Wi-Fi security options for access point connections:

  • EAP-FAST

  • PEAP-MS-CHAP-v2

  • PEAP-GTC

Support for DHCP-based NTP host

Webex Share now supports a customer-configured, DHCP-based NTP host as its primary NTP service. If a DHCP NTP service is not configured, the device will rely on the following secondary NTP services:

  • 0.tandberg.pool.ntp.org

  • 1.tandberg.pool.ntp.org

  • 2.tandberg.pool.ntp.org

  • 3.tandberg.pool.ntp.org

  • 0.pool.ntp.org

Webex Share now supports custom brand imagery configured globally by administrators through Control Hub.

Webex Share does not currently support branding on individual devices.

Language Support on Webex Share

Webex Share now supports the following languages in addition to English: Dutch, English (UK), French (Canada), French (France), German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Spanish (LATAM), Spanish (Spain), and Swedish.

You can set the language preference during the setup from the device web page. Language changes are reflected on the device web page and on the Webex Share user interface.
