To show advanced video settings:

While in a meeting, click the down arrow on the video button, then click Settings.

Click Camera.

Click Show advanced video settings.

For any of the following settings, select the check box next to a setting to enable it and clear the check box to disable the setting:

  • Hardware acceleration for video—Reduce the load on the main system processor, when possible, by off-loading video processing to any available dedicated hardware.

     

    Hardware acceleration is only supported with Intel graphics processing units (GPUs). Nvidia and AMD GPUs are not supported.

  • Automatically adjust camera brightness—Enable this setting to improve the visibility of content captured by the camera.
  • HD video—Enables high-definition video capture for your Webex meetings. This feature is only available on version 41.3 or later sites.
    • Your site administrator must turn on high-quality video your Webex site to enable this feature during your Webex meetings.

    • The HD video setting is checked or unchecked depending upon your computer's hardware. If your computer doesn't meet any of the minimum system requirements, the HD video setting is hidden.

      • Default On—4 GB or more of memory, 4 or more physical cores, and 1.6 GHz or more CPU frequency.

      • Default Off—Set for any of these environments below:

        • 1 GB or more of memory and 4 or more physical cores

        • 1 GB or more of memory, 2 or more physical cores, 2 virtual cores, and 1.6 GHz or more CPU frequency

        • 1 GB or more of memory, 2 or more physical cores, 1 virtual core, and 2.8 GHz or more CPU frequency.

  • Video capture—The Microsoft Framework can be used for camera capture and video rendering. Select an option from the drop-down list:
    • Auto—Auto (default) selects the fastest framework available.

    • To override the automatic option and avoid any compatibility issues with the system camera or display hardware, select Microsoft Media Foundation or Microsoft DirectShow.

    • The HD video option is visible if your computer meets any of the following minimum system requirements:

      • 1 GB or more of memory and 4 or more physical cores

      • 1 GB or more of memory, 2 or more physical cores, 2 virtual cores, and 1.2 GHz or more CPU frequency

      • 1 GB or more of memory, 2 or more physical cores, 1 virtual core, and 2.4 GHz or more CPU frequency.
