Required password enforcement for Webex Meetings, Webex Events (classic), Webex Webinars, and Webex Training sessions
Webex sites automatically add passwords for all Meetings, Events (classic), Webinars, and Training sessions. Passwords protect against unauthorized attendance and strengthen the security of your meetings. Required password enforcement applies to the latest channel sites and to slow channel sites. If you subscribe to Webex from your Service Provider, please contact your Service Provider’s customer support team for help with password requests.
Affected meetings
Password enforcement applies to guests joining through the desktop or web app for Meetings, Events (classic), Webinars, and Training sessions.
Password enforcement isn't applicable to Personal Room meetings, or to those using Outlook Productivity Tools, or Scheduler for Microsoft Office 365.
Join experience
Required password enforcement doesn’t affect the join experience for attendees. For example, participants can easily join a meeting by clicking on the URL in the meeting invitation through email or the Meetings mobile app, without requiring passwords. Users are required to enter a password when they join a meeting by entering the meeting number on the web page.
Starting July 2024, for all new Webex sites, we enforce numeric passwords for attendees dialing into the meeting through a phone or video device. We recommend administrators of sites created before July 2024 configure their Webex sites to require passwords for attendees joining through phones or video devices as well.
Schedule meeting experience
Users who schedule a meeting through Productivity Tools, Scheduler, or the Webex site won't need to enter a password to schedule a meeting. The password is automatically added.

Other password settings
The Require strong passwords feature can't be disabled.
Required password enforcement is for meeting passwords and is independent of account password requirements.
The default passwords are 11 or more characters, including mixed case, numbers, and special characters.
