Webcasts are only included with event subscriptions with 3000 or more users. Webcasts are not available for Webex for Government.

The Questions & Answers panel updates dynamically. The host and each panelist can see the questions and answers others are asking and answering in real time.

In your webcast, go to the Participants panel, expand the Attendees – webcast list, then click Communicate to attendees.

In the Questions & Answers panel, select the Inbox tab. Questions that have been submitted and await action are shown here.

  • New questions appear on the bottom of the list. When new questions come in, click New Questions to manually refresh the list.

  • You can select one of the following for each question in the Inbox queue:

    • Close—Moves the question to the Closed queue.

    • Followup—Moves the question to the Closed queue.

    • Reply—Replies directly to the attendee who asked the question. If the Publish to All check box is checked, the question and its answer are moved to the Group Questions tab for all attendees to see. If this check box is unchecked, no other attendee besides the one who asked the question can see the reply.

    • Queue—Moves the question to the Speaker Queue to be answered. New questions appear at the bottom of the Speaker Queue list.

Hosts filter questions from the Inbox to the Speaker Queue for a speaker to answer.

To make a reply public, check the Publish to All check box when replying to any question in a queue.

Click Save.

The question and answer is shown under the webcast attendees' Group Questions tab and is visible to all attendees.

If a host has previously made a question and answer visible to all webcast attendees, they can remove it from public view.
