Video Requirements

Webex video works with any computer that complies with the standard Webex Meetings, Webex Training, or Webex Support requirements. To be able to reach the video resolution of 360p, PCs must meet the following minimum requirements:

To be able to send or receive high-definition video (720p), PCs must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • CPU—Windows platform must meet one of the following specifications:

    The physical core is a quad-core processor. (Recommended)

    Both the physical and virtual processors are dual core CPUs with a frequency of 1.6Ghz or greater. (Minimum)

    The physical core is a dual-core CPU and the virtual core is a single-core CPU, both with a frequency of 2.8Ghz or greater. (Minimum)

  • CPU—Mac platform must meet one of the following specifications:

    The physical core is a quad-core processor. (Recommended)

    Both the physical and virtual processors are dual core CPUs with a frequency of 1.2Ghz or greater. (Minimum)

    The physical core is a dual-core CPU and the virtual core is a single-core CPU, both with a frequency of 2.4Ghz or greater. (Minimum)

  • RAM: 1 GB RAM

    We recommend 2–4 GB.

  • Camera: a high-definition video supported USB-based web camera, see High-Definition Video Supported Cameras.

Some client GPUs can help with video decoding processing. The following GPU chipsets are capable:
