Music mode is available in Meetings. Beginning with the 41.4 update, it’s also available in Events (new).

When a meeting or event begins, the microphone optimizes audio for speech by default. To optimize for music, turn on Music mode.

Music mode supports up to fullband audio quality. When enabled, Music mode sessions will be encoded using up to fullband audio quality.

Administrators that require higher quality audio for Music mode can request the feature toggle to be enabled for their site.

If Noise removal is turned on, it turns off when you turn on Music mode.


While joining a meeting, or an event, go to More options , select Speaker, microphone, and camera, and scroll to the Microphone menu.


Check Music mode.

When Music mode is active, the Music mode icon appears in the top-right corner of the app.


Uncheck Music mode to turn it off.
