Webcasts are only included with event subscriptions with 3000 or more users. Webcasts are not available for Webex for Government.

Start your webcast.

In the Participants panel, expand the Attendees – webcast list, then click Communicate to attendees.

A window opens in your default browser.

In your browser window, click > to navigate to the right if necessary to open the Polls panel, then click Add Poll.

Enter your poll question in the Question field.

Do one of the following:

  • To allow attendees to only provide one answer to the poll, click No next to Allow Multiple Answers?
  • To allow attendees to provide more than one answer to each poll question, click Yes next to Allow Multiple Answers?

Enter the poll answers in the Answers fields.

Click +Add Response to add more answers, up to a maximum of 15.

Click Create.

Click Open Poll to start the poll.

Poll results are updated as attendees respond, until you close the poll. Each question will display total number of respondents and number of responses per answer. Numbers are updated dynamically if attendees change their answer before you close the poll.

What to do next

When you're ready to stop the poll, see Close a Poll and Publish the Results.
You can edit a poll during a webcast if it has no responses and is closed.
