Webex App | Correct the lighting in your video

list-menuFeedback?
We all join meetings from different places—sometimes it's a dim room, other times it's right by a bright window. To help keep our faces evenly lit, the app uses an intelligent relighting model. The Correct my lighting enhancement captures your image in real time and adjusts the lighting on your face directly through your desktop device.

This ensures that meeting participants have a clear view of you and your facial expressions in any lighting condition.

Try it out. Check Correct my lighting in the preceding image to simulate the enhancement in the preview video.

Before you begin

This feature is available on the desktop app only. You can find the requirements at the end of this article.

This feature is available on our Webex Suite meeting platform. Find out if your meetings use the Webex Suite meeting platform.

1

When you're in a meeting, click Video options Stop video > Video Settings.

When you're not in a meeting, click Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon on the navigation sidebar, and then click Video.
2

Under Video enhancements, check Correct my lighting to have the app automatically adjust the lighting in your video.

If you had enabled automatic color boosting by using the deprecated Adjust my video setting, Correct my lighting is selected by default.

If you prefer not to have the app adjust the lighting, uncheck Correct my lighting.

3

Look at the preview of your video to see the lighting enhancement. If necessary, make further adjustments by customizing the brightness, contrast, and color saturation of your video.
