Set up external browser support for your organization in Control Hub. This feature allows your users to use external browsers when signing into applications, and gives you direct control over the settings.

Before you begin

Ensure you understand how switching from the default application browser to an external browser affects your users' authentication flows.

1

Sign in to Control Hub.

2

Go to Management > Organization settings > Settings, and scroll to the External browser configuration section.

3

Click Down arrow to view the operating systems and their external browser configurations.

4

For each operating system you want to configure (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Network Device Interface (NDI) for Mac, and Linux), select the desired external browser setting from the dropdown list:

  • OS toolkit (Default embedded browser)—Uses the default browser embedded within the application. This is the default for all platforms except iOS.
  • OS Safari (Default embedded browser)—Uses the Safari browser embedded within the mobile operation system. This is the default for iOS.

This option applies only to iOS.

  • System browser controlled by OS—The operating system determines which browser handles the authentication.

This option isn’t available for Windows and Linux.

  • External browser controlled by admin or user—Allows an external browser, specified by the administrator or user, to handle the authentication process.
