Start or join Webex meetings directly from Workplace.
End of Life notice
IMPORTANT: We have decided to end-of-life the
Cisco Webex Meetings for Workplace by Facebook integration. This integration will not be
supported by Webex and no new installations will be possible beyond October 25th, 2023. If
you have the integration installed, it should continue to work until January 28th, after
which it will be permanently removed from all users’ installations. If you would like to
build a similar integration on your own, please explore our Webex documentation at https://developer.webex.com/docs/bots. |
The Webex Meetings bot helps you invite people to a Webex scheduled meeting directly in Workplace so people can join easily. You can quickly add a meeting link to your group chat that people can click to join easily from within the message.
After your System Administrator installs the Meetings integration for Workplace, you can get started with the Meetings bot. You must have a Meetings account to use this app. Go to www.webex.com to sign up for an account for you or your company. All functionality with the Webex Bot works across both desktop and mobile experiences.
Cisco Webex Meetings Server sites are not supported. |
Workplace Users
After your System Administrator has added Cisco Webex Meetings to Workplace, you just have to send a direct message to the Cisco Webex Meetings bot to get started.
1 |
In the Chat panel, search for Webex, and then select Cisco Webex Meetings in the results. ![]()

2 |
In the chat message that appears in the lower right, select Get Started. The bot sends a welcome message.

3 |
Set the Webex site URL that you want to use for your Webex meetings by entering personalsite company.webex.com, where company.webex.com is your personal Webex site. If you don't set your personal Webex site, the bot uses the group's Webex site URL. If the group's Webex site URL hasn't been set, the bot uses the community's Webex site URL, which your System Administrator set. After your personal Webex site is set, you're ready to invite others to meetings in your Personal Room and join Webex scheduled meetings. |
