Add the Google Calendar bot to a Webex space

Create a space with the Google Calendar bot in Webex App, then link to your Google Calendar account:

  1. Go to Spaces and choose a space to add the Google Calendar bot.

You can also create a new direct space with just the Google Calendar bot.

  2. Choose People, click Add People, and then enter the Google Calendar bot email: GoogleCalendar02@webex.bot.
  3. The bot responds with a message in the space to continue. If you’re in a direct space, send a manage message to the bot. If you’re in a group space, send an @google manage message to the bot.
  4. Click Link Google Calendar account button and log in with your credentials.

There are several commands you can use to interact with the Google Calendar Bot in Webex. To see the list send the message help in a direct space or @google help in a group space.

You can create new notifications or manage existing notifications for events in your Google Calendar, and you'll get notified in Webex App.

  1. In a direct space with the Google Calendar bot, enter manage and send the message. In a group space, you can also enter @google manage and send the message to manage notifications.

If you haven’t been authorized, you will get a card to link via Google Calendar authorization.

  2. Select the provided link to go to the Google Calendar notifications dashboard.
  3. From the dashboard you can:
    • Edit existing: Edit notifications configured for any space where the Google Calendar bot is a member.
