Webex App | Remove background noise and speech in calls and meetings

Audio options in a meeting.

This feature removes background noise and background speech when you Use computer audio only.

During a call or meeting, select Audio options a user interacting with the Mute button dropdown to access more audio options and then choose one of the following under Webex smart audio.

When you're not in a call or meeting, click Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon in the navigation sidebar, and then click Audio > Smart audio.

Noise removal (Default)—Removes all noise detected on your side of the conversation. Ideal when participating in a call, meeting, or webinars in a noisy environment.
Optimize for my voice—Removes all noise and background voices. Ideal when taking calls, meetings, or webinars in an open office space.
Optimize for all voices—Removes all noise and enhances background voices. Ideal when collaborating with a group of people in a conference room.
Music mode—Optimizes the audio for vocal and instrumental music. Ideal when original audio with music needs to be preserved.

On Windows, click Save.

During a call or meeting, tap More options More Options button > Smart Audio.

Choose one of the following:

Noise Removal—Removes all background noise.
Optimize for My Voice—Removes all background noise and background speech.
Music mode—Optimizes the audio for vocal and instrumental music. Ideal when original audio with music needs to be preserved.

To set this as the default for all your calls and meetings, change the Webex smart audio option in your audio settings.

During a call or meeting, tap More options More Options button > Advanced > Smart audio.

Choose one of the following:

Noise removal—Removes all background noise.
Optimize for my voice—Removes all background noise and background speech.
