Participant list in webinars

  • Attendees always see all panelists

  • Attendees always see themselves (or "this room" on a device)

  • Attendees see the total number of attendees

  • Other attendees are only visible is they raise their hand or are unmuted by the host or cohost

Important notes for Webex Webinars on devices
  • All attendees are hard muted by default and can only unmute when requested by a host or cohost

  • Attendees can never send video in a webinar

  • Paired attendee join from the Webex App is not supported

Webcast view on devices

For Webcasts, attendees join through the device web engine instead of the native Webex experience. The Webcast experience is optimised for very large audiences and provides a simplified, view-only interface.

Limitations

  • For Webinars with 5000 attendees, device versions RoomOS 26.6 or RoomOS 11.38 or newer is required

  • If the host enables "self-assignment" for breakout rooms, the devices may not support this feature. In these cases, the host must manually assign those devices to a room.

  • Webinars that require Sign-In or Registration will only be accessible to devices that are registered on the same organisation as the Webinar is hosted on

  • Some Webinar controls must be managed from the Webex App
