To show advanced video settings:

While in a meeting, click the down arrow on the video button, then click Settings.

Click Camera.

Click Show advanced video settings.

Select the check box next to a setting to enable it. To disable a setting, clear the check box.

The following video settings are available:

  • Hardware acceleration for video: Reduce the load on the main system processor when possible by off-loading video processing to dedicated hardware when available.

  • Automatically adjust camera brightness: Enable this setting to improve the visibility of content captured by the camera.

  • Video capture: The Microsoft Framework can be used for camera capture and video rendering. Select an option from the drop-down list:

    • Auto (default) selects the fastest framework available

    • To override the automatic option and avoid any compatibility issues with he system camera or display hardware, select Microsoft Media Foundation or Microsoft DirectShow.
