With this integration hybrid enabled users can communicate with users in external domains, where these domains are Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) federated domains.

  • Only spaces with two people is supported.

  • When a Skype for Business user adds a Webex Teams user, the Skype for Business user won't see any status.

From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services and on the Message card click Settings.

Under Instant Messaging, enable SIP Federation via on-prem (Jabber IM&P).

  • It can take a minimum of 1 hour before this change takes effect. However, you can restart your Message Connector service to ensure it takes immediate effect.

  • It can take up to 24 hours after the setting has taken effect before users see the option in Webex Teams.
