By connecting a display supporting touch inputs to your Room Bar, Room Bar Pro, Codec EQ, or Codec Pro, the device automatically gets the same UI as a Cisco Board and accepts touch inputs.
Using a Room Series device with a touchscreen lets you use the same functionality that a Cisco Board offers, such as whiteboarding and annotation. You can control the device from the touchscreen or a Room Navigator.
Room Bar Pro, Codec EQ, and Codec Pro require a Room Navigator and you can use both UIs to use the device. For Room Bar, the Room Navigator is optional.

Connect a touchscreen
When you connect the Room Series device to a touchscreen, you need to use both an HDMI cable and a USB cable.
On the Room Series device:
-
Connect the HDMI cable from the touchscreen to connector 1.
-
Connect the USB cable to the USB-A port for the device to recognize the touch inputs.
Connect a touchscreen and a passive screen
You can connect one touchscreen and one passive screen to the Room Series device. You can set up this combination in two different ways.
1: Screen 1 (left) as interactive/touch screen and screen 2 (right) as passive screen
In this scenario, interactive content moves from screen 2 to screen 1, for example, when starting to annotate on an incoming presentation.
-
Connect the HDMI cable from screen 1 to connector 1.
Connect the USB cable from screen 1 to the USB-A port for the device to recognize the touch inputs.
-
Connect the HDMI cable from screen 2 to connector 2.
2: Screen 1 (left) as passive screen and screen 2 (right) as interactive/touch screen
In this scenario, content in a call is always shown on screen 2, whether it is interactive or not. Out of call, interactive apps and elements are shown on screen 2.
-
Connect the display cable from screen 1 to connector 1.
-
Connect the display cable from screen 2 to connector 2.
Connect the USB cable from screen 2 to the USB-A port for the device to recognize the touch inputs.
