Using a Room Series device with a touchscreen lets you use the same functionality that a Cisco Board offers, such as whiteboarding and annotation . You can control the device from the touchscreen or a Room Navigator.

You can use the Room Bar without a Room Navigator. The other devices require a Room Navigator.

The feature has also been tested with the following non-certified screens:

  • Dell C Series Large Format

  • Dell P Series Large Format

  • Samsung QMR-T Digital Signage series

Connect the screen

When you connect the Room Series device to a touchscreen, you need to use both an HDMI cable and a USB cable.

On the Room Series device:

  1. Connect the HDMI cable to connector 1.

  2. Connect the USB cable to the USB-A port for the device to recognize the touch inputs.

Limitations
  • Only one screen is supported in this setup.

  • Touch redirect is not supported.

  • Active styluses are not supported. Passive styluses may work.
