Set your custom default space theme in Control Hub

As an administrator, you can upload your own custom space cover images to set a new default for all spaces created within your organization. This feature supports both light and dark theme versions of the cover image, helping you maintain consistent branding and improve the app’s look and feel.
1

Sign in to Control Hub, then go to Services > Messaging > Settings > Space themes.

2

Turn on Use custom space themes and select Customize space themes.

Select a cover image from the options Webex provides, or upload your own in PNG or JPEG format. Your image works with both light and dark modes. The default size for a preset image is 780 x 116 pixels.

Each time you update the cover image, you need to sign out and sign back in to see the changes. Also, when you resize the app the image will be duplicated.

As an administrator, you can select a single custom cover image to use across both themes, or set one of the existing images as the default. After you configure your choice, Webex automatically applies the selected cover image to all 1:1 and group spaces that your organization owns and creates.

Currently, you can't change the default custom image after you've set it. However, enhanced customization options will be available in an upcoming update.

3

Use Preview of your space theme to see how each image appears in the app before applying changes.

The images look similar, but colors may vary since each image is a representation and not an exact match.

4

Click Save to set the custom images as the new default for your organization.
