Webex App | Turn off your video during a meeting or call

After you join a meeting or call in Webex App, you can turn off your video if you don't want to show it. You still see video from other people in the app who have it turned on, but they won't see you.

Your video is on by default when you join a meeting or call, so you will see a gray icon Stop video.

To turn off your video, click Stop video. You can tell your video is turned off when the icon turns red Start video.

Webex App supports different call and video options, depending on how your account is setup.

In your meeting or call, tap Stop video button to turn off your video. You can tell your video is turned off, when the icon turns red Start video button.

If you prefer, you can turn off your video before making or answering a call or joining a meeting. See Join a Meeting or Call with Audio Only or Answer a call for more details.

Before you join a meeting or call you can choose to join without video, click Option to select audio or video device for making a call by clicking Audio / Video. and choose No video. If you choose to join with video, you'll see a blue icon to indicate your video is on.

To turn off your video, click . You can tell your video is turned off when the icon turns gray Video icon.
