Though you can keep your free account around indefinitely, you may want to delete it in the following scenarios:

  • After you buy a paid plan: When you buy a Starter, Plus, or Business plan on Webex.com, we create a new Webex site for you. This means you may have two Webex sites to choose from on your sign-in page; make sure to sign in to the right one. If this feels confusing, you can delete the free account.

  • Before you switch to a managed plan: If you used your work or school email to sign up for a free account, your IT admin may encounter issues when adding you to the organization’s Webex account. In this case, you may need to delete your account.

1

Sign into your Webex Meetings site.

If you have any recordings stored on the site, click Recordings and download the recordings you want to keep. Also, make note of any scheduled meetings that you want to reschedule on the new Webex site. You won’t be able to access scheduled meetings or stored recordings again after deleting your account.

2

Click the down arrow next to your name. Depending on the type of account you have, you'll see different menu options:

  • If you see Site administration in your menu, select it, then click Delete organization.

If you see Site administration, you must use that menu option to delete your account. You can't delete your account through My profile if you have the Site administration menu menu option.

  • If you don't see Site administration but you do see My profile in your menu, select My profile.

    • Select Delete account, then click Delete my account to confirm. You can't recover your account once it's deleted.

  • If you don’t see Site administration or My profile, contact us to have your account deleted.

If you don't see the option to delete your free Webex Teams user account, open a support case or contact your Webex administrator.

Deleting your free Webex Teams user account and associated data is permanent. You can’t recover deleted accounts.
