How do I show the Library folder on Mac OS?

How do I open the hidden Library folder in Mac OS X?

I don't see the Library folder in Mac OS.

I can't find the Library folder in Mac OS X.

I can't access the Library folder to remove Webex files.


Solution:

The Library folder is hidden by default. If it may be necessary to access files within the Library to perform Webex related troubleshooting.

Use one of the methods below to display the library folder:

Temporarily display the Library folder

  • Method 1:
    1. In Finder (the desktop screen), click on the Go menu, then select Go to Folder....

      The 'Go to Folder' window appears.
    2. Type ~/Library and then press the Go button.
  • Method 2:
    1. In Finder (the desktop screen), click on the Go menu, then press the Option or Alt key on the keyboard.

      The Library entry will appear on the Go menu.
    2. Click on the Library entry.

Permanently display the Library folder

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.

    A Terminal window appears.
  2. Type the following command chflags nohidden ~/Library and press enter.
