A different ringtone helps you distinguish incoming calls on your line.

When the phone is in idle mode, you can adjust the ringtone volume with the volume key:

the Settings hard key

When you’re on a call or in a meeting, the volume key controls the audio volume.

To change the ringtone or ringtone volume through the phone menu, follow these steps:

Press Settings the Settings hard key

If prompted, enter the password to access the Settings menu. You can get the password from your administrator.

Select User preferences > Audio > Ringtone and volume > Ringtone.

Select a ringtone.

  • (Singe line): Select a ringtone for your line, and press Apply.
  • (Multiple lines): Select a line, select a ringtone for the line, and press Apply.

    Press Back and select a ringtone for other lines if needed.

You can listen to the selected ringtone again by pressing Play.

Go back to the Ringtone and volume screen, select Ringtone volume.

Press the volume key (- or +) to decrease or increase the volume.

You can also press the softkey (< or >) to adjust the volume.

Scroll down to the Audio section and select Ringtone and volume.

Drag the volume slider left or right to adjust the ringtone volume.

Select a ringtone.

  • (Single line): Select a ringtone from the Ringtone section.
  • (Multiple lines): In the Ringtone section, tap a line, and then select a ringtone for the line.

    Tap Back Back to home icon for 9871 and select a ringtone for other lines if needed.
