Getting started with the Webex Meetings Suite

To get started with the Webex Meetings Suite, you need

  • A host account on your Webex site.

  • The Webex URL for your Webex site.

  • Your Webex username and password.

The welcome email that you receive from your site administrator contains your Webex URL. Visit the URL to sign in to your Webex site. From there, you can easily meet online, over the phone or your computer, with anyone anywhere in the world.

The welcome email that you receive may also include a link for you to create a password for your account. To create a password for your account, select Create Password.

If your Webex site uses Single-Sign-On (SSO), use those credentials to sign in.

For example, to set up Meetings, select Set Up > Meetings.

Install the Webex desktop app or Webex Productivity Tools

Starting WBS39.10 there are separate install packages for the Productivity Tools and Desktop app. The Webex Productivity Tools provides integrations with Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, and other applications. The Webex Meetings desktop app allows users to start and join the meetings quickly and easily includes the pre-meeting and in-meeting experience.

Your site administrator can set Webex up to automatically download the desktop app or Webex Productivity Tools the first time that you sign in. If not, we highly recommend that you download it from your Webex site.

1

Visit the URL for your Webex site, and sign in to your account.

2

On the Downloads page, select Webex Meetings Desktop App or Webex Productivity Tools, and then select your operating system (Windows or Mac).

Select Download.

Select Save File.

5

Navigate to the folder to which you want to save the installation file, and then select Save.

6
