You can send a plain text message to someone who is using another instant messaging app. If they're using Jabber, Pidgin, or another supported XMPP app or if they're using Skype for Business or another SIP federated app. Your organization's administrator can enable instant messaging for specific domains or organizations.
You can't create a new space with Webex on mobile or web. However, when you create the space using the desktop apps, you can use the mobile and web apps to send and receive messages in the space.
In the app header, click , choose Send a direct message, and then select Send messages to a person who uses another instant messaging application, such as Cisco Jabber.
Enter the person's instant messaging address, and click Create. Then, type and send your message.
