Webex App | In-Call summaries with Cisco AI Assistant

Sometimes during a call you may be multitasking or get distracted. AI Assistant for Webex Calling provides live call summaries, making it easy to quickly catch up on the discussion and ask questions about what’s happened so far. You don’t have to take notes manually anymore—you can stay focused and fully engaged in the conversation.

Before you begin

Open Webex and sign in.

First, start your call.

Go to the call controls, and click AI Assistant Cisco AI Assistant icon.

During the call, click AI Assistant Cisco AI Assistant icon again to hide, or unhide, the AI Assistant panel.

In the Cisco AI Assistant panel, select from:

  • Catch me up—quick overall summary of the call so far.

    • Summarize—summary from the start of the call.

  • What are the action items—summary of action items mentioned in the call.

  • Stop summary—cancel an AI Assistant reply.

After your call, you'll receive a notification when your call summary is available in the app. Click CallingCall button, then go to All to access your call summary, transcript, and action items directly from your call history.

In your call history, any calls that have used AI Assistant are clearly marked with an indicator showing if they include a Summary AI Assistant Summary indicator - page showing text lines with star, Transcript Transcript icon, or both.

AI Assistant call summaries are supported in the following languages:

  • Arabic

  • Chinese (Simplified)

  • Chinese (traditional)

  • Danish

  • Dutch

  • English

  • French

  • German

  • Hindi

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Spanish

  • Turkish

AI Assistant uses the spoken language selected by the person who initiated the call, when generating the call summary, transcript, and action items.
