    • German translation was cropped when you clicked your profile picture and went to Settings > Calls > Call Queues.

    • The color of the text for Call Queues and Call Settings made it difficult to read in your Web app.

  • We resolved the following issues when you use Calling in Webex (Unified CM):

    • After receiving an update with a ring state, Webex didn't play the ringtone.

    • Your phone service wouldn't connect after you switched networks or your computer came out of sleep mode.

  • When you were in the Profile tab of a direct message space and created a new space from search results, you incorrectly saw the profile information from the first space.

  • When you dragged Webex to a second monitor and tried to search for someone, the results list didn't appear in a usable format.

    • When your on-premises device was connected to a meeting, and you connected to the device using Webex Teams, you correctly couldn't join the meeting from Webex Teams. However, you couldn't make calls or share your screen without signing out of the app.

    • When your admin turned on the internal call-back teleconferencing setting, you couldn't choose the Call me at option for audio in a meeting.

    • When you tried to join a meeting that was full, you didn't see the correct message.

  • We resolved the following issue when you use Calling in Webex Teams (Webex Calling):

    • When you entered your voicemail PIN to retrieve voice messages, you heard two tones for every digit you entered.

    • Voicemail icons, such as Play and Delete, weren't showing up so you had to call into your voicemail system to listen to and manage your voice messages.

    • Your status continued to show that you were in a call even after a call ended.

    • Your call forward setting wasn't maintained between your desktop and mobile apps.

    • Your incoming calls were duplicated in your Call History under both All and Missed tabs, whether you answered the call or not.

  • We resolved the following issue when you use Calling in Webex Teams (Unified CM):

    • Webex Teams would prompt for token expiry even though the refresh token hadn't actually expired.

    • You weren't able to complete a transfer after entering the name of the person you wanted to transfer the call to.

    • You weren't able to open Webex Teams after attempting to refresh the app.

    • You weren't able to call someone from their contact card in your Meetings tab.

    • When you searched for someone to call, you weren't able to place the call from your search results if entries started with a number.

    • You weren't able to forward calls.

    • You weren't given the option of how to call someone when you wanted to add them to a call.

    • You couldn't make a Webex call.

    • Your status would continue to show you in a call after a call had ended.

    • If a call was forwarded to you from a Call Queue, you'd see the queue name as the caller ID instead of the caller's name.

    • You weren't able to include a fourth person in a conference call.

  • We resolved the following issue when you use Calling in Webex (Unified CM):

    • When you went to use your dial pad in the app, you may have noticed it was missing the + sign.

    • The issue arose when you chose to use your Operating System speaker and microphone during a call but also had a headset connected to your computer but not selected in Webex Teams. When you pressed the Mute button on your headset, you'd get an audio prompt letting you know you're muted when you actually weren't. Your audio continued to be sent through your OS microphone.

    • Your status didn't show that you were in a call when you were using your desk phone.

  • We changed how things look in the app. to give you an even better Spark experience. For example, we removed the sliding panel with the Room Details. Now your Room Details are accessed using the icons along the top of the conversation area. That's where you'll find the people, shared content, and other things you used to do there.
  • Some old familiar icons, like the icon to start a new room, changed too. It isn't a big plus sign anymore, but looks like this now.
  • The app is now faster and more responsive.
  • You can do screen captures from the app now too. Just click the plus sign beside the message composer and select Screen capture.
  • If you leave the room without sending a message you've written in the message composer, Draft appears below the room filters. Click it to see a list of all your draft messages. Select one to return and finish writing your message.

  • Now you can set the audio, video, and incoming call ringing sources in the app when you select Settings from the Options tab.

  • Those helpful coach marks that appear when you use a feature for the first time are gone. But we'll be adding those back in soon.

  • We're still working on supporting touch inputs, so please use your mouse for now.

In today's September release, Webex must update the full application. To complete this update, each user must have write access to the folder where the application is running. For example, if Webex is running in the Application folder, then Webex needs write access to that folder.

For users with write access to the folder, the update completes automatically. For users that don't have write access, they will be prompted for credentials to continue with the upgrade. These users can choose from the following:

  • Enter the credentials, select Okand then the upgrade process continues.

  • Select Cancel, the upgrade fails and the user will continue to use the older version of Webex. When they restart Webex, they will be prompted for credentials again.

  • We’ve changed the way you use Search and filters. Search is now above the spaces list, and you’ll see your filters when you click the search bar.   • We updated the format and color scheme of the spaces list. The new format emphasizes space and team names and doesn’t preview messages.

  • Now, when you’re on a call and try to start a second call, you’ll see a message warning you to disconnect your active call before placing another one.

These updates will improve how you view and manage spaces and give you greater control over your notifications.
